The potential of recipes solely including packets themselves are somewhat limited, so I’ve set up a few rules for the recipes that will keep things inexpensive and expand my culinary horizons.

  • Ingredients that are not available in packets must be versatile and inexpensive. This means staples like baking powder/soda, eggs, flour, oil, and the like are acceptable.
  • Common plants (like dandelion and sassafras) are acceptable due to accessibility and being free.
  • Creatively obtained ingredients that are non-packeted must be common and not obscure.
